Another great morning on the lake. It wasn’t too choppy and the sun was shining.
There were lots of birds around the water this morning. The kingfishers were noisy and in constant motion, so no photos of them. Here are a few of the others.
The water lilies were in full bloom, bright in the sunlight.
However, the snail was in hiding.
Not many turtles out this morning, but there were a couple sunning themselves.
The real treat of the morning was another glimpse of the loons. It looks like Mom is teaching baby to dive. The baby disappeared a couple times, presumably in a short dive.
The lake never fails to surprise and delight. I hope you can get out and explore it for yourselves.

very nice pics as always, you know I really enjoy them.
Thank you so much.
Hi Mark —
Great photos from the lake. The water lily photos are stunning. I’m so happy the loons’ baby is doing well and look forward to him (her) growing through the next few months. Keep up the good work. I especially appreciate it when I am away from the lake.
Cheers.
Chris
Mark,
I cannot begin to tell you how much I love your photos and how they make me feel like I am in Interlochen when I am so far away in CA.
Looking forward to seeing you and Rose in a few days.
Best wishes,
Sandy Adams
Thanks, Sandy. See you soon.
