Hi. My name is Mark Yancey. I enjoy photographing nature, landscapes, and all the wonderful things around me.
I live in southwest Michigan. We may not have the grand mountains of the Rockies, or the ocean coasts of the west or east, but we do have water in the form of the Great Lakes, rivers, and many inland lakes. We have a 4-season climate, each of which brings wonderful photo opportunities.

This web site will contain some of my photos and my blog. The blog is divided into various categories. One category is Orchestra Camp Colony which is focused on the scenic beauty and wildlife in and around Interlochen, Michigan, near Traverse City (just close enough and just far enough away). Many of the photos shown in that blog are taken while I’m paddling my kayak. There are a lot of opportunities on the lake. I will be adding other categories as time goes on.

Many of these blog posts have been transferred from my previous blog site, orchestracampcolony.wordpress.com and markyanceyphoto.wordpress.com. So, if you have followed me there, this site will include all of those posts as well as any new posts.
This site will be a construction zone for a while, so please forgive the mess.
I hope you enjoy the photos. Drop me a line at mark@markyanceyphoto.com if you want to make any comments or ask any questions. Thanks for stopping by.

Thank you, Mitch Hull, for taking these photos of me in the woods.
Mark
