Quiet Morning on the Lake

We’ve been away for a couple weeks.  We finally got out on the lake yesterday morning and found it to be very quiet.  Gone were all the boats of the holiday weekend, but gone, too, was much wildlife.  It was later in the morning than our usual time, so maybe that was it.  Still, there was a lot of beauty to be seen.

The water lilies seem to be in full bloom.  I love the way their bright white color stands against the color of the water, which varies depending on the reflections and angle of light.

There were a few birds including these.

Although there were not many turtles out sunning themselves, there were a few.

So, keep your eyes open and enjoy all Mother Nature has to share with you.
