A couple weeks ago, a small group went out on Duck Lake for an evening paddle. It was a beautiful evening to be on the lake. Here’s some photos from out tour of the lake.
The water was calm, so reflections were great.
Here’s Polly headed to the south end of the lake.
There were a couple sandpipers along the shore.
More reflections of the cattails.
I snuck up on this heron having dinner.
We spotted this young eagle in a tree at the south end of the lake. After posing for a few minutes, it flew up Horton Creek a short distance where there was another eagle. Finally if flew back over the south-west end of the lake where the moon was.
The sun had set and gave the sky a great color.
It was a great evening to be out. I hope to get a few more chances to be out there soon.
Mark
You capture so many magical moments that I would miss if not for you and your camera!
Thanks, Barb. But, you wouldn’t have missed this one. You were there! Sorry it took so long to get it posted.
You are so blessed to be able to see and take these beautiful pictures Mark.
Thank you so very much for sharing, these have made my day..
Thank you, Eleanor. Yes, I am very fortunate to have this place to visit.
Looks like a lovely time on the water ~ every time I think of cat tails, it reminds me of the time mom stopped to pick some for a fall arrangement. She put them in the trunk of the car. When she opened the trunk she found that all of the cat tails exploded and the entire area was full of cat tail “fluff”. The tree branches in the water almost looked like antlers. Hoping to get back to our lake soon . . . still working on issues at C’s.
It was a great time, Karen. Thanks.
