Barb’s Garden

OK, it could be Ollie’s garden, but I really think it’s Barb’s garden.

Barb – You planted such a nice garden and all your plants look great.  As I was walking around the colony, I saw how nice everything looked and thought it a shame that you don’t get to see your lovely garden in the spring of the year.  So, here are the highlights.

I don’t know what these are, but they caught my eye with the lovely small blossoms and the strongly patterned leaves.

This fern was one of the few that was fully open.

These bleeding hearts were beautiful in the evening sun.

I’m not sure what this is, either, but I love the red stems.

And, staring me right in the face were these morel mushrooms.  Sorry, Barb, but I couldn’t leave these alone.  They would not have been any good by the time you got up here, so I picked them.  They were delicious!  Thanks.

So, thank you, Barb, for your lovely garden.  I hope you enjoy it all summer long.

  1. Many many thanks. We are delighted to see what spring brings to the garden. Please scare away the critters that also delight in feasting on it. Those bleeding hearts are so lovely.
