Some Fall Color

We were at the cabin last weekend and took a drive in search of fall color.  The color is quite late this year, and may not be very spectacular at this point.  We’ve just now had our first frost of the season, much later than normal.  Oh, well.  Here are some photos of what we did see.

We started at High Rollaway.  There was some color, but not as much as we had hoped for.  Still it was a beautiful view on a beautiful day.

We drove north to Mancelona and stopped at Palmer Park for lunch.

The Cherry Street Market in Kalkaska had some beautiful produce.  While Rose shopped, I took pictures.

Back to the cabin, we got on the lake in the kayaks and found a few more bits of color.

Even though the color wasn’t as brilliant as we had hoped, it was still a great day for a drive.
